2010 Employee of Year
The ‘2010 Employee of the Year’ was again a very hotly contested award.
Everyone that received a monthly award nomination went into the mix. Each nomination was rated against a complex set of criteria and given a score. Over the year the scores accumulate and a league table emerges. Being top of the league is not enough; any of those near the top of the list would have made worthy winners, and it was pleasing to see Anthony Pratt, Adam Pardy and Mark O’Keefe in strong contention along with regular contenders Shane Blackmore and Steve Worth.
The top few were assessed in depth, background checks conducted and confidential opinions sought from a variety of people before the winner was finally selected. Breaking with tradition, the Allfab Xmas Social Club function was chosen as the surprise venue for the award presentation, conducted by Gerry Fischl Managing Director.
The 2010 Winner is Garry Clark. Garry was nominated throughout the year on no less than five occasions for the monthly award. Those nominations came from work mates, supervisors and customers. His conscientious and dedicated approach to his Leading Hand duties, his diligence in identifying and attempting to resolve safety issues, his alertness to defects in the customer’s plant, his willingness to respond to call outs and his ability to overcome difficulties and still get the job done have earned him the respect of all that know him.
Ultimately Garry was a truly worthy winner.
