Blast Furnace Reline Nears End
As a major contractor Allfab has been involved in the planning and implementation of this project since 2006 and has played a pivotal role in the completion of the Gas Cleaning and Hot Blast System’s for the No.5 Blast Furnace Reline.
Successfully completing the Downcomer, Dustcatcher, and Scrubber installations to help Bluescope meet new levels of environmental compliance.
In the process Allfab met the challenge of changing the Diffuser which was not part of the original scope and involved the heaviest crane lifts of the project.
Additionally Allfab renewed and refurbished key components for the Hot Blast and Cold Blast Systems to enable the furnace to operate at maximum efficiency.
This involved replacing the Hot Blast Valves, Associated Pipework and Mains.
